简介：Abraham was originally named Abram, and Sarah, his wife, was originally named Sarai. Abram is a prophet of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, a person God has chosen and blessed from all living beings on earth. Abram (Abraham) and his family originally lived in Ur (Ur or Ger) in Sumeria, which is now located in Tell Muqayyar, southern Iraq. His father, Tara, came from the Chaldean-ruled Urchades, possibly in the southern part of the Mesopotamia, but some Islamic and Jewish figures believe that Urchades is now in southern Turkey in the northern part of the Mesopotamia.
